About

Chiel describes himself as a T-shaped Software Engineer. He has a great drive to learn new things every day, which drives him to specialise and cover broad ranges of roles and industries. Chiel started in the backend, moved to full-stack Machine Learning Engineering, transitioned to DevOps, and now working mainly in the backend again. As a software engineer within Datafold, he is focused with his team on improving and expanding our BI integrations, like Looker, Hightouch, and Tableau. Chiel has also worked extensively on our Cloud Infrastructure since joining Datafold where my modus operandi is taking on new responsibilities and automating myself away. In his spare time, he loves outdoor sports such as mountaineering, rock climbing, and survival runsports.
