Jisan Zaman is a data engineering manager who switched over from Software Engineering about 3 years ago. He’s had a wide range of experience in working for startups, consultancy, big media companies before settling into his role now at Xometry. His experience was mostly with front-end development and JavaScript but over the last few years, he’s delved deeply into DataOps using technologies like dbt, Snowflake, terraform, and Dagster. He is a dad to a 8 month old baby and loves taking long walks around DC when it’s not muggy outside. Outside of work, Jisan enjoys being civically engaged in local politics of Arlington VA and tries to make the world a bit better by trying to get everyone to vote in their local elections.
